I go through this about every six months or so. I’m a slave to my machine and its interface. I want things to look good, and be functional, and have all the information I want readily at my disposal. So there are a few tools I use for this adventure.

First, finding good desktop images for backgrounds is always a trick. I am currently favoring mandolux stuff, but I’m also constantly seeking new ones. Additionally, I occasionally make my own backgrounds. Those are evident in the gallery links on the right. Check those out. Always a fun time. For informational purposes, I always add interface elements using samurize instances to put in the tweaks and stuff I like to see. That program continues to add new stuff all the time. And of course, for any graphical hoopla, I always rely on my trusty Paint Shop Pro to carry me through the turbulent waters of graphical design. Once I’ve gone through my usual churn through the samurize screenshots, I will post links to some that were particularly good for some reason, or caught my eye. Stay tuned…
