So I’m going to resurrect my tank. It has been sitting essentially idle for almost 2 years now. Although it did still have a filter running, it has only room heating and lighting in all that time. The only word that comes to mind (although not technically correct) is Brackish.

Not sure yet what I’m going to do with it, but at a minimum everything will be cleaned and rejuvenated. Surprisingly, one fish managed to survive the neglect. Yes, thats correct, you didn’t see me say that I had been adding any food to the tank. So yes, the survivor was an algae eater. Hardy fish, that, and he deserves a special place in the new tank. I’ll do everything I can to make the transition easy for him.

In general, I’m very fond of planted tanks. For examples of what I hope to someday achieve, visit the Aquatic Gardener’s Association Aquascaping Competition page. There is some truly amazing stuff there. I have alot to learn.
