You don’t need the paid Acrobat version. If you have a .html or .doc file, you can easily convert it to .pdf. If it’s in .doc format, check out openoffice.org. For html, you can get htmldoc. Both are free as in beer and I think both are GPL as well. Also work under Windows just fine.
